Ambulance Service Sells Delinquent Accounts

NCO Portfolio Management Inc., which provides services for collecting bad
debt, will acquire Greenwood Village-based American Medical Response Inc.'s
past-due accounts for ambulance and emergency services valued at $500
million. NCO Portfolio and its joint-venture partner, Glen Falls, N.Y.-based
Medclr, will purchase AMR's delinquent accounts receivables at an
undisclosed discount.

The transaction represents the largest single purchase of medical-related
past-due accounts in the industry, said Joel Lewis, president of Medclr's
parent company, Marlin Integrated Capital Holdings Corp.
