09/26/2005 5 MINUTE entry before Judge Marvin E. Aspen : Murray neglected to attach the collection letter, the basis of his lawsuit, to the complaint. Without an opportunity to examine the letter, this Court cannot properly determine whether the complaint states a claim for relief. See Walker v. Cash Flow Consultants, Inc., 200 F.R.D. 613,616 (N.D. Ill. 2001) (holding that sending a collection letter for a debt barred by the statute of limitations does not violate the FDCPA if the letter does not threaten litigation). We therefore deny without prejudice the application 4 to proceed in forma pauperis so that Murray may correct the specified infirmities of the complaint and attach the collection letter to his pleading.
