Mitch D. Gliner is a 1984 graduate of New York Law School. He is admitted to practice in Nevada, Connecticut and New York. Mitch Gliner is a former Marine Captain. His Marine Corps service included both that of military prosecutor and Company Commander.

Since 1994 Mitch Gliner has confined his practice to consumer litigation involving credit reporting disputes and debt collection abuse. His most notable case, Nelson v. Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corp., 282 F.3d 1057 (9th Cir. 2002), was the first decision by a Federal Court of Appeals which empowered individuals to personally sue companies which furnish inaccurate information to credit reporting agencies. Mitch Gliner has helped hundreds of Nevada consumers with debt collection abuse, collection agency harassment, and theft of identity issues through litigation of debt collection using statutes including the Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and Equal Credit Opportunity Act. Mitch Gliner warns consumers to be wary of any credit repair firm that claims it can effect credit repair or credit restoration with some magical process or form.
