James M. "Jim" Feagle practices in collection agency law and debt collection abuse litigation in the state of Georgia. His office provides for a free telephone consultation or you may fill out and submit a confidential case evaluation form on his firm's website at www.georgiaconsumerattorney.com. The focus of his practice is protecting consumers from debt collection abuse and debt collection harassment and defending collection lawsuits brought in the state of Georgia. Areas of concentration include both prosecuting illegal collection by collection agencies and also defending consumers when they have been sued by a collection attorney or collection agency on a defaulted credit card, medical expense or automobile deficiency from a repossession case.

Jim's practice is based out of Decatur and he has represented consumers all over the state including all of the Metro Atlanta Counties (DeKalb, Clayton, Cobb, Douglas, Paulding, Gwinnett, Fayette, Henry, Rockdale, and Fulton) and also clients in numerous other cities in Georgia including, Savannah, Brunswick, Macon, Valdosta, Augusta, Columbus, Rome, Athens and Griffin. He also handles credit litigation over credit reporting errors in which furnishers of credit information such as collection agencies, Banks or other creditors have furnished inaccurate and false information to credit reporting agencies such as Equifax, Experian or Trans Union and have failed to fix problems in the reported information which are typically due to identity fraud or mixed file information. He has filed hundreds of successful consumer rights cases against banks, credit reporting agencies, credit card companies and debt collectors. Most of his cases are handled on a contingency fee basis. Cases that are purely defensive in response to a lawsuit will be quoted an upfront flat fee to retain his firm's services.

He is a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates and a charter member of the consumer law section of the State Bar of Georgia. He has volunteered to speak to consumer groups regarding these matters and has engaged in much pro bono work over the last 15 years to advance consumer rights. He graduated from Emory University in Atlanta with a B.S. in Psychology and a B.A. in Philosophy in 1988 and received his law degree from Georgia State University College of Law in 1991. He is admitted to practice in all of the state Courts of Georgia and also the U.S. District Courts for both the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia.
